Road Access from Matsumoto (Nagano side)

Access from Matsumoto to Okuhida via National Route 158 is OPEN for normal passenger cars.

Tunnel construction is currently underway near Nagawado Dam, but traffic is maintained using alternating one-way traffic and a temporary bypass road.

Some navigation systems may incorrectly show the road as closed and suggest a long detour via the Kiso area.
However, regular cars can pass without any problem.

Restrictions apply only to very large vehicles over 12 m in length.

Please follow on-site signs and traffic controllers when passing through the construction area.
